which is more durable materials to use for a canopy? polyester or polyethylene?

I am purchasing canopies for collections fund outdoor event and the need to consider sustainability factors when they are exposed to elements.such form heat (turn away from the heat inside the canopy?, do not want anyone who goes on ..) the rain?
